Breathing. Obviously we know how important our breathe is to our life in a physical sense. But many of us ignore how vital it is for our mental state. It keeps us focused on the here and now.

We are so predispositioned to have shallow breathing that we do not always use it to our advantage. There are many different types of deep breathes. Rhythmic Breathing is my favorite. In for 4 seconds, hold for 2 seconds, out for 4 seconds. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Just think “smell the flowers, blow the bubbles” which translates to in through your nose, out through your mouth.

Speaking of bubbles, your breathe allows you to focus on the present moment, which I refer to as your bubble or box. Stay in your bubble, notice whats immediately around you, be aware of all your senses. Do not worry about anything outside of your bubble or box. Bring yourself always into your bubble and breathe.

Teach your children about their bubble and give them the power of miindfulness in the moment.

Use your breathe as much as you can and you will begin to create a habit and a response to situations in a positive and calm state.

Smell the Flowers, Blow the Bubbles.
